It's that time again.....
Tigerprint is the sole supplier of greeting products to high street giant Marks & Spencer, with an ever-growing range spanning cards, wrapping paper, toys, stationery and more. Our studio strives to design innovative and diverse product ranges for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and all the special occasions inbetween. Christmas is hugely important for us and we have something exciting planned for 2012;
“The Gift of Christmas”
This is a new competition aimed at all creative students and graduates*. As a talented New designer** why not take a look at the criteria below and submit your design today? Make Christmas 2012 shine with your talent!
The Brief
Using your unique style, flair and creativity, design one (or all!) of the following products for Tigerprint’s 2012 Christmas range.
Compose a card
Create a cracker
Design a decoration
Combine commercial awareness, Christmas trends and innovation to create the perfect “Gift of Christmas”.
One winner in each category will receive a cash prize of £500, plus a 2 week placement in the Tigerprint studio; the winning designs will also be sold in Marks and Spencer stores nationwide.
The Criteria
* Submit up to 4 A3 boards that summarise your product, a good example would show research, initial concept, design development and final design. * All submissions are online only. * All entrants must complete the online registration form. * Ensure your submission does not exceed 10MB in file size and must be in either PDF or JPG format. * You must include your name in the filename you upload. * Maximum of 4 entries per catergory per entrant. * Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions and FAQs too

Free IT Training for Artists

Design a Deckchair workshop
On Wednesday 13th April Artist Peter Quinnell will be running two £1 'Design a Deckchair' workshops for adults in his Black Winkle studio on the Stade. The morning workshop starts at 11am and the afternoon workshop starts at 2pm, both will last one a half hours.
On Tuesday 12th April Peter Quinnell will be running two £1 'Design a Deckchair' workshops in his studio on the Stade for 8 – 16 year olds (11am and 2pm). The 11am workshop will be filmed for the Stade Education Project evaluation film.

All deckchair designs will be entered into the Stade Education Project’s ‘Design a Deckchair’ competition. Entries will form part of an exhibition and will be judged by Liz Gilmore, Director of the
Jerwood, David Rhodes, Curator at the De La Warr, Cllr Trevor Webb and a public artist from Salisbury called David Ward. 20 winning designs will be made into real deckchairs for the Stade Open Space.
The theme of the competition is the Stade – its culture, its environment and its heritage, so get down to the beach, have a ramble about and explore the museums to see what inspires your creative juices this Easter.
