Enrolment day on Monday

As you have already been informed - enrollment day at Station plaza for all FDA1 and 2 students is next Monday morning. ( Sept 27th )

It's really important that you are fully prepared and have all the necessary information and your £100 deposit with you - or you cannot enroll. ( I'm going to clarify this tomorrow - but as I understand it, the deposit is for students not in a position to pay their full fees yet, and is by arrangement )

Please accept that as this is a brand new building, there may be some bedding in issues at first - this is the first time the college will be at full capacity and it may seem a bit bewildering at first - and there are a few things to get used to - the close relationship between FE and HE is a new experience for many of you.

One of the first things I will do in the afternoon is show you all how to exit the building correctly during an emergency - and there are some other new rules and regulations that come as standard with a brand new building - remember - it's £97m woth of college - so please treat it with respect. I'll talk to you in detail - but be prepared for the following discussions, more details can be found in the student handbook - available from student central.

- Eat and drink within designated areas only
- Refrain from chewing gum
- Smoke at least 50 metres from college buildings ( important!!)
- Leave the College clean and tidy
- Use non-abusive and non-offensive language
- Dress appropriately
- Follow the Health and Safety Policy
- Wear their ID card at all times whilst on campus
- Attend on time and contribute positively
- Work hard and meet deadlines
- Inform the college promptly if they are unable to attend
- Comply with the licensing and copyright rules required by the college Learning Resource Centre in relation to resources
- Use mobile phones with consideration and switch them off around learning areas
- Adhere to the IT users policy
- Check their college email regularly for announcements and use it for any communication with college staff
