FDA2 students who have interviews this week.

I've tried to keep everything low key and relaxed - nobody needs to panic, all the portfolio's look really clean and well put together.

Remember - leaving a good impression is the most important thing - try to be the first to speak and make sure they know you by name. Be positive and proud of your work - and if they offer any criticism, take it in good grace and thank them - don't be upset by it - it's still really early in the year and all a work in progress.

Don't show them anything that you are not happy with and be sure to point out all stuff you are proud of. Remember to memorise the 5 bullet points about each piece, and when they ask you "why did you choose this college and why do you want to get out of it and do afterward" - have an answer ready.

I know this sounds like a stupid thing to say - but be really comfortable and happy with what you are wearing, anything that distracts you or makes you feel uncomfortable will put you off and you will fluff your lines. This is all about leaving a good impression and letting them know WHO YOU ARE - so think about how you want them to see you.

Be confident, positive and professional.

Good luck! - ( email me if you need anything - or ask Jane Padget to call me - she has my work number )
