Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising

From 1-30 April 2011 an exhibition of art inspired by an iconic brand will be held at the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising in Notting Hill. To celebrate the invention of the BiC® Cristal® ball pen 60 years ago, artists from around the globe have provided sculptures, portraits, a  haute couture dress and even ‘Cristal® chandeliers’ for the new exhibition called Inkspiration: The Story of BiC® Cristal®.

On show will be a recreation of Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, drawn entirely using a single BiC® Cristal® pen, as well as sculptures incorporating the pen itself. If visitors feel inspired, they can also grab a Cristal® and draw or write on a special ‘doodle wall’ where they can express their thoughts.
