The Media Enterprise Centre has set up an online survey to more accurately establish the needs of local creatives. The results will be submitted to Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council to assist them in their provision for this sector within the town and surrounding areas.

The Media Enterprise Centre (MEC) was set up in March 2010 as a council funded project, with the aim of assisting local creatives through access to subsidised facilities and a range of training courses and events. In the last 15 months, we’ve engaged with a number of local creatives and have witnessed the arrival of a number of new creative practitioners in and around the town. Sadly the MEC will be closing at the end of August, as our funding comes to an end. However, we hope the results of this survey will confirm there is an increasing audience for similar forms of support for this industry once our particular project has ended.
