For those of you who take an interest in these things, the design work has been led by Cases & Associates of Barcelona, and the headline fonts are Sun (in the main section) and Farnham and Clan (in Viewspaper). There is also an opinion piece from the Press Gazette that reviews the redesign here.
There has been a lot of focus on The Independent recently - the new owners also bought The Evening Standard and made it a free sheet, and The Independent has been struggling visually and commercially for some time. I'm not sure that this is enough to save them - I really hope they sort their website out - it's terrible.
